It allows far infrared (FIR) heat to penetrate the body, reducing inflammation, increasing circulation, balancing the immune system, and encouraging very deep states of relaxation. This product is approved by the FDA as a medical device. 

I had heard anecdotal information about the benefits of the Biomat from a colleague, who suggested that it reduced her symptoms of fibromyalgia significantly, and that the results were long lasting. I was certainly intrigued. Once I experienced the benefits for myself, I knew I wanted to have the Biomat available for my clients as well. 

Earthing is a relatively new discovery of something our ancestors seemed to know instinctually. There is scientific research illustrating how valuable it is to connect to the Earth, particularly in natural areas where there are few concrete structures (and probably strongest at the beach and in the ocean). When we are barefoot on the Earth, or when we have shoes that allow us to ground (basically when we have a true magnetic connection with the Earth) our chemistry changes due to the magnetism. The benefits are many, with results ranging from better sleep to weight loss to significant pain reduction. While the Biomat is not technically an earthing product, it seems to offer many of the same attributes, connecting us to minerals and crystals from the Earth contained within the Biomat.
